Using black and white images to draw out the power of London's architecture, self-taught photographer Nicolas Lescot gives a unique glimpse into the capital city. Letting himself get lost in London, his sharply contrasted images challenge viewers to perceive London architecture in a new way. Lescot doesn't always shoot in black and white, but with this series, it was a purposeful choice. “This time I wanted to play with shapes, lines, architecture styles and their contrast,” the photographer shares with us via email. “I did not want the colors' power to interfere with the understanding of my intention. Also, I found this album more powerful and graphical in black and white.” As an additional challenge, the entire series was shot using just one lens. Lescot ventured out with his Nikon D600 and a 50mm 1.8 lens as an exercise in creating compositions within a constraint. A former car showroom has found a new life as innovative modern architecture thanks to the studio CHYBIK+KRISTOF . Using the idea of “façade as a functional banner,” they’ve lined the exterior of a furniture gallery with over 900 black plastic seats. The memorable covering features layered chairs that compose an eye-catching and highly textural motif. Upon viewing the building, you instantly know that's it's got to do with interior design—essentially making the structure a giant advertisement. The single-story building is now the home to the MY DVA group, which focuses on the production of office, school, and metal furniture. When they took over the showroom, it was outdated; the space was first established in the 1990s. Elle est de retour dans ses plus beaux atours. À cette heure du jour, la lumière est un délice et met bien en valeur son séduisant plumage. Celle-ci venait de consommer plusieurs poissons sur place. À mon grand bonheur, ce dernier poisson pêché un peu trop près d'un nid de bernache se voit emporté pour dégustation dans un lieu non loin mais plus paisible. Depuis quelques jours une bernache mâle monte la garde près du nid où couve sa belle et n'hésite pas chasser même en vol tout ce qui pourrait être potentiellement un danger pour sa dame. Bref, il se prend pour un carouge. She's back and she's dressed to kill !
