Easy Ways to Dress Up a Neutral Throw Pillow

Изображение
We love a neutral throw pillow around these parts. They are so incredibly versatile and go with just about everything. Kind of like the little black dress of pillows, so to speak. But if you are looking to add a little something to your neutrals in the new year, we’ve come up with three super easy DIYs (no sewing required!) to bring your throw pillow game to the next level. DIY Pom Pom Pillow Neutral throw pillow Yarn in 1 or 2 colors Scissors Fabric glue Pom Pom maker Follow the instructions on the pom pom maker to make a pom pom. You’ll want to make at least 4 (they were so quick that we made 8!). If you have more than one pom pom for each corner, knot their tails together about ½” away from the poms. Trim the tails to be about 1” long. Reach your hand inside the pillow cover (you may want to remove the insert for this part) and grab one corner. Gently fold the corner in on itself a bit so that you can grab the tail of the pom pom and tuck it inside the cor...

S’mores Filled Forest Birthday Party

Изображение
This 3rd birthday celebration is the culmination of a photographer mom with a fab eye for design and a venue near and dear to the family’s heart. That mom is  Shannon Von Eschen  and with the help of  Ashley Nicole Events , she crafted a third birthday celebration at the family’s tree farm with loads of greenery from  Bare Root Flora  and s’mores front and center. Basically it’s every kid’s dream and maybe a few grownups too (ahem, me). Head to the vault for even more. Share this gorgeous gallery on   As a mother who’s also a photographer, I tend to only want to throw parties that have an abundance of style, details, and a sense of over-the-top decor. So, even though Eli was turning THREE, I wanted to create a space that would not only bring our families together, but also tell a story and create a sense of “home.” I love curated spaces with clearly-defined color palettes and though I slept hardly at all the week prior, the w...
