Pockerley Old Hall by Earth Guardian Angel
Pockerley has stood on the site for hundreds of years – long before Beamish Museum opened - and its name is even mentioned in the 1183 “Boldon Buke” (the North East’s Domesday Book). Below Pockerley Old Hall is St Helen’s Church, which was moved to Beamish from Eston, on Teesside. The disused church had been vandalised and was under threat of demolition when it was rescued by the Museum and rebuilt here. http://flic.kr/p/qdXwoA
