This will be Ramsey’s third monographic exhibition at the gallery. Autumn Ramsey’s work has consistently addressed cultural and psychological issues in a personal language that is as attentive to the temporal body as it is to the illusion and allure of control. Considine works from life, focusing increasingly on cityscapes and objects set up in his studio. In the five paintings and two drawings in this show, aspects of still life and landscape merge. Equally distributed attention to detail sits nestled within an outward facing formal orientation toward the paintings as objects. Caleb Considine (b. 1982 Los Angeles, CA; lives and works in New York) received his BFA from Yale University and his MFA from Columbia University. Images: Images courtesy of Gladstone Gallery, Brussels Press Release: Gladstone Gallery is pleased to present Decline & Glory , an exhibition of new paintings by Jill Mulleady, the artist’s first with the gallery. Activating the gallery’s existing architecture, a Neoclassical-inspired late nineteenth-century Maison Bruxelloise , Mulleady stages a sequence of paintings en enfilade, with implied narratives threading between the works and the rooms of the installation. In one work, Gardens of the Blind , a chiaroscuro figure appears amidst the turbulent forces of a whirlwind and a burning landscape. The same figure is seen again in the yellow interior of 18 Rue Souveraine 1050 , where she seems to have aged and is now
